About This Wine:

Produced from extremely low-yielding vines planted between 1969 and 1974, this Pinot Noir is drawn from MV6 and an old Great Western clone. Fully destemmed and crushed, the wine spent nine days on skins before maturing for 19 months in barrel, with 38% new oak.

The result is a Pinot of finesse, depth and complexity. Pure, bright aromas of raspberry, red cherry and rose are seamlessly layered with Moroccan spice, kirsch and porcini mushroom. The perfumed palate captures the elegance and energy of the vintage, underpinned by the character and depth that only 50-year-old vines can deliver. Savoury structure and a fine line of acidity carry the wine through to a long, lifted and beautifully perfumed finish.

A Pinot Noir that will unfurl gracefully over the next 10–12 years.
