Woodlawn Three Wishes Pinot Noir

‘Of all the current single vineyard releases by Ricky Evans (Two Tonnes Tasmania), this is my favourite pinot noir. It carries more structure, tannin and rich dark fruit flavours than its other more ethereal kin. The fruit comes from the Three Wishes vineyard in the Tamar Valley, which is a warmer site so the result is a deep red that delivers more fruit intensity.’ Mike

Pinot Noir from Ricky Evans' new line of single-site expressions from the family farm is a darker, wilder expression.
The Tamar River's eastern bank is home to this lovely and distinctive location, which was planted in 2000 and is located just north of Hillwood.
The vineyard is located in a tiny valley and is shielded from the bass strait's prevailing northerly winds. It is a warm site that is also impacted by the river, which is located a few hundred metres to the south.
