Wild Duck Creek Shiraz Reserve

Shiraz Reserve is the pinnacle of precision and intensity at Wild Duck Creek — a wine made with uncompromising attention to detail and an unwavering pursuit of quality.

The vineyards are meticulously managed: cane pruned, shoot thinned, mulched, and carefully crop-thinned at veraison to optimise yield and bunch separation. Fruit is harvested at full ripeness and partly destemmed, with up to 50% whole bunches retained in the ferment to build structure, complexity and aromatic lift. Wild fermentation in small open-top fermenters is closely monitored to encourage a slow, controlled extraction.

Following gentle basket pressing, the wine is matured in 100% new French oak barriques for up to 27 months, allowing it to evolve richness, polish and depth. The result is a profoundly expressive Shiraz — layered, powerful and impeccably structured, with the balance and concentration to cellar for decades.
