Wild Duck Creek Harlequin Picpoul Blanc

Sourced from the vineyard of Missy and Hugh Jones, just north of Colbinabbin, this Picpoul Blanc captures the lively spirit of its Mediterranean origins while thriving in the warm, sun-drenched conditions of northern Heathcote. Still a rarity in Australia, Picpoul is prized for its natural acidity and freshness.

Fermented in a combination of seasoned French oak puncheons and stainless steel, this Picpoul Blanc was then left on fine lees for four months prior to bottling. This gentle maturation adds subtle texture and complexity, while preserving the grape’s hallmark freshness and vibrant acidity. The result is a zippy, citrus-driven white with bright stone fruit, a touch of savoury depth, and a clean, saline finish—perfect alongside freshly shucked oysters.
