About This Wine:

Crafted in tribute to founder David Anderson—affectionately known as Grandpa Duck to his grandchildren—this wine celebrates over 50 years of his dedication to the wine industry. A blend of David’s two favourite varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, Grandpa Duck is a bold and heartfelt expression of his legacy.

Sourced from the intensely flavoured, low-yielding vines of the Rathjen Vineyard, the wine is aged for 26 to 30 months in a combination of new French and American oak hogsheads, building richness, structure, and depth. The result is a powerful, full-bodied red layered with dark berries, cassis, spice and savoury oak, underpinned by firm tannins and exceptional length. A true icon in the making—rich, robust, and built to last.

Decant for a day .

This is a good wine, but it must be decanted for at least day.
Otherwise it’s not drinkable.
