Utzinger White Label Pinot Noir

Utzinger White Label Pinot Noir is a characterful cool-climate Pinot Noir sourced from the western side of the Tamar Valley.

Hand-picked fruit underwent partial whole-bunch carbonic maceration before a wild fermentation, bringing aromatic lift and complexity. The wine was pressed before dryness into predominantly older French oak barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving texture, purity and vineyard character.

Medium burgundy red in colour, the nose is expressive and layered, offering aromas of fresh cherry and wild strawberry alongside notes of warm spice, tar and subtle savoury whole-bunch character. Gentle oak influence sits comfortably in the background.

The palate opens softly before building with vibrant red fruit, fine acidity and youthful chalky tannins that provide structure and length. Medium to full-bodied, it balances generosity with freshness, carrying impressive persistence through the finish.

Elegant yet quietly powerful, this Pinot Noir combines bright fruit, savoury complexity and natural winemaking finesse, making it both approachable in its youth and rewarding with short to medium-term cellaring.
