Utzinger White Label Chardonnay

Sourced from select fruit in the West Tamar Valley, this Chardonnay was whole bunch pressed, lightly settled and allowed to ferment wild in mostly seasoned oak. A portion underwent partial malolactic fermentation, adding layers of texture and softness. The wine rested for seven months on full lees before a gentle filtration and bottling under screwcap to preserve its freshness.

In the glass, it shows a bright yellow hue with a subtle golden edge. The nose is open and inviting, with medium intensity aromas of ripe yellow stone fruit — think fresh peach — alongside hints of vanilla and warm brioche.

The palate is fresh and lively with a crisp acid drive, balanced by a medium-bodied texture. The finish lingers with delicate oak notes and a subtle, savoury length that keeps you coming back for more.
