2015 Ugo Lequio Gallina Barbaresco DOCG

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with 15–18 days of maceration to build aromatic depth and tannic definition. The wine is then aged for 20 months in large 25hl oak casks, followed by a further six months of bottle maturation to integrate and refine its structure before release.

In the glass, it shows a ruby red core with garnet reflections. The bouquet is complex and enveloping, unfolding layers of spice, liquorice, pepper, leather and delicate rose tones. The palate is structured and austere yet harmonious, combining firm body with refined balance and a long, persistent finish. This is a wine of aristocratic presence, defined by both power and finesse.

Traditionally paired with braised meats, game, rich stews and aged cheeses, it also reveals its contemplative side with further bottle age, becoming an ideal “meditation wine” of depth and quiet complexity.
