About This Wine:

65% Gamay and 35% Pinot Noir – light, fine and irresistibly smashable, equally at home served chilled.

Fermented separately: Pinot from the 27-year-old MV6 clone on the home block, and Gamay from the Brooklands Vineyard (Beaujolais clone), both 100% whole bunch fermented and matured in seasoned large-format oak.

The nose brims with ripe strawberry, smoky mezcal, orange peel, peanut shell, beetroot and a touch of five spice. The palate follows with vibrant strawberry and blood plum, layered with savoury earthiness and fine, grainy tannins, finishing bright, detailed and refreshingly moreish.

“65/35% gamay/pinot noir; the parcels are fermented separately, with the gamay made with 100% whole bunches and the pinot with 25% whole bunches. A light crimson purple. An uber-fragrant bouquet featuring red summer fruits, floral notes, tobacco leaf and a little Dashi soy! Gently fleshy, flavoursome and long.
