Tenuta Ulisse Masseri Primitivo

This red wine from Tenuta Ulisse in Abruzzo is crafted entirely from Primitivo grapes. After harvesting, the grapes undergo a 15-20 day maceration period with alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 24-26°C. The wine then matures in fine American and French oak barriques.

Visually, it presents a deep purple-red hue with ruby glints. The bouquet bursts with aromas of small berries, blackberries, and plums, intertwined with subtle floral notes. On the palate, the tannins are present yet silky, complemented by a lively acidity and mineral undertone. The finish is remarkably enduring.

A superb match for all meat and game dishes—think roasts, ragouts, and braised meats. It also pairs beautifully with cheeses.
