About This Wine:

Place of Changing Winds High Density Pinot Noir is one of the estate’s most distinctive and limited releases, made only when the fruit warrants a separate bottling. The 2024 vintage follows the previous release in 2021 and comes from the estate’s closest-planted Pinot Noir vines, with selected sections reaching extraordinary densities of 20,000 and 33,000 vines per hectare. This meticulous approach reflects Robert Walters and Rémi Jacquemain’s commitment to vine growth, soil health and exceptional fruit quality.

In 2024, the wine was fermented in a large Stockinger wooden cask with the cap submerged, using just 10% whole bunches, before spending 24 months in barriques. Bottled without fining or filtration, it is defined by purity, perfume and exceptionally fine tannins. Tightly composed yet full of depth, it delivers a precise structure and long, energetic finish. With just 280 bottles and nine magnums produced, this is a rare release with excellent ageing potential, best given at least five years to fully open up.
