About This Wine:

Place of Changing Winds Between Two Mountains Pinot Noir is a captivating cool-climate Pinot Noir that brings together the finest parcels from the estate to create a wine of remarkable perfume, complexity and finesse.

Crafted in the Macedon Ranges, the wine reflects a cool, late-growing season, with naturally low yields producing exceptional concentration and purity. Around one-third whole bunches contribute fragrant aromatics and exotic spice, while maturation for 21 months in a combination of Stockinger oak casks (228L, 500L, 600L and 1,000L) and innovative Wineglobe glass vessels, with just 5% new oak, preserves the vineyard's character and elegance.

The bouquet is intensely perfumed, revealing crystalline red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry layered with violet, rose petals and fragrant Asian spices. The palate is beautifully poised, balancing a core of vibrant, sweet red fruit with savoury complexity, silky texture and finely detailed tannins.

Long, focused and effortlessly elegant, the wine finishes with freshness, mineral precision and impressive structure. Seductive in its youth with a little time in a decanter, it also possesses the balance and depth to reward extended cellaring. A superb expression of modern Australian Pinot Noir, combining purity, perfume and exceptional ageing potential.
