About This Wine:

Piazzo Barolo DOCG Valente is a refined and expressive Barolo crafted from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from three crus in the commune of Novello — Sottocastello di Novello, Cerviano-Merli and Corini-Pallaretta. These vineyard sites combine to create a Barolo that balances structure, aromatic lift and mineral precision.

Harvested in early October, the grapes are destemmed and fermented with temperature-controlled maceration in stainless steel before ageing for at least 18 months in large oak casks. Further bottle maturation softens the tannins and allows the wine’s complexity and finesse to emerge.

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, the nose reveals layers of ripe red fruits, dried florals and subtle balsamic spice. The palate is dry, warm and beautifully structured, with enveloping tannins, savoury mineral undertones and a long, persistent finish that speaks clearly of traditional Barolo character.

Elegant yet powerful, this is a poised and age-worthy Nebbiolo that opens beautifully with air and rewards patient cellaring.
