Piazzo Barolo Sottocastello di Novello DOCG is a classic and structured expression of 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the Sottocastello di Novello vineyard in the heart of Barolo. This elevated site is known for producing Barolo with both power and finesse, combining aromatic lift with depth and longevity.

Harvested during the second half of October, the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration in stainless steel before ageing for at least 18 months in large Slavonian oak casks. Additional bottle maturation further refines the wine, allowing complexity and structure to integrate harmoniously.

Deep garnet red with subtle orange reflections, the bouquet reveals ripe red fruits layered with balsamic nuances, dried fruit and savoury earthy detail. The palate is intense, persistent and beautifully structured, delivering classic Barolo depth with firm yet polished tannins, vibrant acidity and impressive complexity.
