Deep midnight black with a dark red-black hue, this wine opens with lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrant and red plum, gently layered with bay leaf, dusty earth, vanillin cedar and spice. The full-bodied palate is generous and flowing, filled with juicy red and blackcurrant fruit supported by dried herbs, earthy tobacco and savoury spice nuances. Polished and finely structured, it carries fine-grained tannins through to a long, refined finish that remains beautifully fresh and succulent.
