Passage Baw Baw Shire Pinot Gris

Sourced from a south-facing parcel of the Bull Swamp Vineyard in Warragul, this distinctive Gippsland Pinot Gris comes from 20-year-old, dry-grown vines planted in the region’s characteristic red volcanic soils. The cool climate and unique terroir contribute freshness, vibrant acidity and impressive texture. Hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, the fruit is wild-fermented before spending 11 months on lees in French oak, including 20% new oak, followed by a further two months in stainless steel.

The nose reveals delicate white flowers and stone fruit, leading to a beautifully layered palate of yellow pear, spice and subtle salinity. Precise acidity provides freshness and drive, while lees ageing brings added texture and depth. A compelling expression of Gippsland Pinot Gris, balancing cool-climate freshness with richness, texture and length.
