Ossa Gruner Veltliner (Black Label)

Sourced from a tiny parcel at the Belbrook Vineyard on Tasmania’s East Coast, this Grüner was gently pressed to seasoned French oak barriques for indigenous fermentation before completing its élevage on lees in stainless steel.

The nose opens with ripe melon, white peach and grapefruit, lifted by flinty nuance and a dusting of white pepper. The palate is impressively textural and layered, revealing stone fruit, pear and citrus wrapped around a core of quiet power. There’s real presence here, finishing long, savoury and beautifully persistent.
