About This Wine:

Mirafiore Barolo DOCG is a classic expression of 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the renowned vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba, one of Barolo’s most celebrated communes. Known for producing deeply structured and long-lived wines, the region’s unique soils, sun exposure and microclimate have shaped generations of powerful, age-worthy Barolo.

Traditional winemaking is central to the wine’s character. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel over 12–15 days at controlled temperatures, followed by an extended 30–40 day maceration on skins to maximise depth, tannin structure and aromatic complexity. The wine is then matured for two years in medium and large-format oak casks before further bottle ageing prior to release, allowing the components to integrate and soften while preserving the wine’s classic structure.

In the glass, it shows a garnet-red colour with ruby highlights that gradually evolve towards orange with age. The bouquet is intense and complex, opening with notes of withered rose, spice, undergrowth and black liquorice, alongside hints of nutmeg, bay leaf, black pepper and ripe red fruits. The palate is powerful yet composed, delivering full-bodied richness, velvety texture and beautifully balanced tannins supported by vibrant acidity and impressive persistence.

Structured, savoury and deeply expressive, this is a traditional Barolo with the depth and freshness to reward extended cellaring while already offering remarkable complexity and character.
