About This Wine:

Majella The Malleea Cabernet Shiraz is the flagship release from Majella Wines, produced only in exceptional vintages. This iconic Australian blend combines the structure and elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the plush richness of Shiraz, creating a wine of power, balance and remarkable ageing potential.

Fermented in small batches and matured for up to two years in premium French oak, the wine is deeply concentrated yet beautifully composed. The bouquet is rich and expressive, layered with mulberry, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit alongside subtle vanillin oak.

The palate is full-bodied and complex, unfolding generous cassis, dark plum and spice with hints of dark chocolate, bay leaf and gentle mint woven through the finish. Fine tannins and integrated oak provide impressive structure while maintaining refinement and elegance.

Built to cellar gracefully for 15–20 years, The Malleea is a classic Coonawarra red that pairs beautifully with slow-roasted lamb shoulder, dry-aged steaks, smoked barbecue meats or hearty mushroom dishes.
