Majella Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Majella Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Coonawarra’s most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignons, consistently recognised with trophies and medals both in Australia and internationally. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, each parcel is vinified separately to preserve vineyard character and ensure only the finest components make the final blend.

Fermentation takes place in a combination of static and rotary stainless steel fermenters before the wine is transferred to 300-litre French oak hogsheads, where fermentation finishes and maturation continues for 18 months in a mix of new and seasoned oak. This careful élevage builds depth, structure and seamless oak integration while maintaining the purity of the fruit.

Deep magenta with a bright garnet hue, the nose displays classic Coonawarra character, layered with eucalypt, mint and dark berry fruit aromas. The palate is rich yet elegant, unfolding flavours of blackcurrant, cassis and fruit cake complexity supported by subtle oak and finely textured dusty tannins. Long, structured and beautifully balanced, it combines power with refinement in true Coonawarra style.

Approachable in its youth yet built for longevity, this Cabernet will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 12–15 years and pairs superbly with chargrilled meats, slow-cooked lamb and aged cheeses.
