LAS Vino Chardonnay Wildberry Springs

Hand picked at first light and chilled overnight, this Chardonnay is crafted with precision and care. Whole bunches are gently pressed, with half of the wine fermented and matured in amphorae of varying shapes and sizes. These vessels, with their differing porosity, encourage unique fermentation dynamics and subtle oxygen interaction, adding layers of complexity in much the same way a diverse mix of oak barrels does. The remaining half is fermented and aged in oak, lending a touch of familiarity and structural backbone.

A partial natural malolactic fermentation occurs during maturation, softening the edges and adding length and texture to the wine.

Purity is the word that comes to mind with every glass. This wine is all about clarity and finesse — pure Willyabrup Chardonnay at its best. Expect pristine notes of white peach, lemon, lime and green apple, beautifully framed by a delicate creaminess and a subtle flicker of flint and struck match.

Balanced, elegant and effortlessly layered, this Chardonnay will reward careful cellaring for up to 10 years, unfolding even greater depth and grace with time.
