About This Wine:

Joseph Drouhin Réserve de Vaudon Chablis AOC is a classic estate-grown Chardonnay from the historic vineyards of Chablis. Sourced exclusively from the Drouhin family properties, the vineyards lie predominantly in the Vauvillien Valley between the renowned slopes of Montée de Tonnerre and Mont de Milieu, where ancient Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in marine fossils give Chablis its unmistakable mineral character.

Robert Drouhin was among the pioneering Burgundy producers to help revitalise the Chablis region in the 1960s following decades of decline after phylloxera. Today, the wine continues that legacy through careful vineyard management and a restrained, terroir-focused winemaking approach.

The fruit is harvested by hand or machine depending on the parcel, then gently whole-bunch pressed with only the finest free-run juice retained. Fermentation and ageing take place entirely in stainless steel over 7–10 months, preserving freshness, precision and purity of fruit.

Brilliant pale gold with subtle green reflections, the nose is distinctly Chablis in style, opening with citrus, lemon zest, fern and delicate saline notes. The palate is lively yet refined, combining crisp acidity with elegant texture and minerality. Fresh, focused and beautifully balanced, it delivers the finesse and maritime character that define classic Chablis.
