Jim Barry McRae Wood Shiraz originates from the Clare Valley, crafted from declassified Armagh fruit and select parcels from the family’s vineyards. First released in 1992, it was considered modern and innovative, and today it remains a rich, intense expression of the region. The nose is vibrant, with lifted violets, red currant, and ripe black plum, complemented by subtle spice and discreet, well-integrated oak. On the palate, dense, commanding fruit flows effortlessly, with ripe plum and purple fruit flavours layered over fine tannins, delivering intensity, length, and a lasting, energetic finish.
