Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Nebbiolo

A classic burst of rose petals immediately lifts from the glass, setting the scene for this distinctive Heathcote Nebbiolo. Bright and beautifully floral, it delivers generous flavours of dark cherry and ripe redcurrant, supported by bold, firm tannins that build through the palate. Oak spice and smoky flint add savoury complexity to the long, structured finish.

Jasper Hill’s two hectares of Nebbiolo were planted in 1991, and while the variety demands considerably more work in the vineyard, the results make it worthwhile. This is not an Italian Nebbiolo, nor does it try to be one; it is a confident Australian interpretation that captures the character of Heathcote with Nebbiolo’s naturally aromatic, structured and age-worthy personality.
