Isabel Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

Isabel Estate Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is a refined cool-climate Pinot Noir from the Wairau Valley, crafted exclusively from estate-grown fruit and produced with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture. Made from a blend of Clone 777, Abel and Clone 5, the wine captures the precision, elegance and layered complexity that define Isabel Estate’s single vineyard range.

Hand-harvested fruit was fermented in small open-top stainless steel tanks, with 20% whole bunches included to enhance structure and aromatic lift. Following a cold soak and natural fermentation, the wine spent time on skins before being pressed to a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels, where it matured on fine lees for 11 months and completed natural malolactic fermentation. Further ageing in the estate’s underground cellar has added harmony and depth to the final wine.

The bouquet is vibrant and expressive, revealing ripe cherry, raspberry and cranberry aromas layered with delicate violet perfume and subtle dried herb spice. The palate is pure and finely structured, balancing bright red fruit with freshness, gentle oak influence and elegant tannins. Poised and beautifully detailed in its youth, this Pinot Noir already shows impressive charm while promising further complexity and refinement with careful cellaring.
