Isabel Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay

Isabel Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a refined expression of the Wairau Valley, crafted exclusively from estate-grown fruit and shaped by Isabel Estate’s commitment to sustainable viticulture. Produced from carefully selected parcels across the vineyard, the wine captures the precision, complexity and elegance that have made the region internationally acclaimed for Chardonnay.

Harvest began with younger vines before concluding with old-vine Mendoza clone fruit, each parcel picked at optimal ripeness while preserving freshness and natural acidity. Following whole-bunch pressing and overnight settling, the juice was transferred to a mix of barrels and puncheons for 100% wild fermentation. The wine then underwent full malolactic fermentation and spent 11 months in barrel before further lees ageing in tank for five months, building texture, depth and integration.

The result is a Chardonnay of remarkable poise and sophistication. Aromas of white nectarine and ripe stone fruit are layered with flinty gun smoke, subtle vanilla bean and finely judged French oak toastiness. The palate is textured yet focused, combining richness and complexity with freshness and mineral drive.
