Greenock Creek Apricot Block Shiraz

The Apricot Block is named after an ancient orchard that was destroyed in 1995 along with 500 tonnes of bluestone to create room for grapes that were planted there. This slope faces east and rises from an old stream bed that crosses our Roennfeldt Road vineyards.
On the nose, the dark fruits are laced with lovely floral notes, and there are hints of stone fruit kernels. Rich and creamy on the palate, with intense black plums, sautéed stone fruit, and hints of bitter dark chocolate adorning the potent fruit character. The rich fruit taste profile is supported by some wonderful, fine tannins with a graphite-like texture that run the whole length of the palate.
