Gentle Folk Onkaparinga Valley Sangiovese

Onkaparinga Valley Sangiovese comes from twenty-seven-year-old vines in the highest, boniest section of the Turnbull Family Vineyard in Charleston, where meticulous care produces exceptional fruit. Showing delicate aromatics, gentle spice, and refined tannins, this Sangiovese captures the variety’s natural elegance in the region. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented in open-top vats for three weeks, then sealed for an additional three months. Only the free-run juice was used, matured for 10 months in a mix of terracotta and French oak (one new barrel), before being blended and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The result is a structured, aromatic wine with finesse and balance.
