About This Wine:

This captivating wine enchants the senses with a bouquet of citrus, grapefruit, lemon curd, white peach, and pistachio nut aromas. Its lively acidity intertwines with a flinty river pebble dryness, while notes of lime and lemon juice add a refreshing zest complemented by an almond glossiness and a subtle hint of lactose. Exhibiting a harmonious balance, the wine exudes juiciness and leaves the palate salivating. Its acidity and pH indicate its potential for long-term cellaring, promising to evolve gracefully over the next decade or more, gaining a touch of richness and complexity with careful aging. This wine is poised to mature into an extraordinary gem with patience and attentive cellaring for 10-12 years.

"Gingin clone from an unirrigated vineyard. Whole-bunch pressed to 500L oak puncheons, 50% mlf in this high malic vintage, matured 9 months in barrel after blending. The acidity is the most striking element here: it feels very much countersunk into the abundant white stone fruit, and it has a distinct saline/saltiness about it. This drags the substantial fruit characters over the palate and through into the long finish. Quite something."

"Another very good chardonnay under this label. Right now, it is still very tight, but there is a powerful and intense core that will gradually reveal itself with age. Lemon sorbet, crème brulee and brioche on the nose. Deep flavours of lemon rind and stone fruit with a nice creamy oak influence and a defining mineral edge."

"Light yellow colour, with a highly appealing bouquet of nougat, with stone-fruit, lightly-toasted nuts, and a honey and toffee note. A hint of cream and butter as well. The palate is frisky and vigorous with spine-tingling acidity, but it has the fruit flavour to balance and the whole entity works very well. A very refreshing finish. An excellent food wine."

"This is a very taut, punchy style with piercing aromas and flavors of lemons and yellow grapefruit, delivered in a sleekly defined shape on the palate. The length and focus are impressive. Drink or hold."
