Fowles Ladies Who Shoot Their Lunch Shiraz

This is a striking, cool-climate Shiraz that leans more Northern Rhône than Barossa in style.

Deep purple in colour, the nose is complex and savoury — white and black pepper, black olive, ripe plum, dark strawberry compote and blackberry, with subtle mocha in the background. Wild yeast fermentation adds an extra layer of aromatic detail, while 12 months in old 130-year-old English oak brings texture without overt oak flavour.

On the palate it’s plush yet refined: silky plum and berry fruit, beautifully balanced by fresh acidity and fine, powdery tannins. The finish is long and elegant, with a gentle milk-chocolate note rounding things out.

Spicy, savoury and polished — a modern cool-climate Shiraz with serious class.
