El Dorado 8Yr Old Rum 700ml

El Dorado 8 Year Old is a cross between Enmore (constructed in 1880 as the world's oldest and only wooden column Coffey still), Port Mourant, and the current Diamond (steel column) stills. It is matured at least 8 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. The rich brassy gold hue is perfect and vibrant. Offers an appealing, moderately fruity aroma with notes of dried pineapple and bounty bar. After a few minutes in the glass, raisins and dates become more noticeable. The scents are echoed on the creamy palate, which has semi-sweet, juicy sultana, date, and fruit cake tastes. The finish is smooth, creamy, and fresh, with mocha and vanilla custard giving way to a lightly spicy fade.
