Château Poyanne Bordeaux Côtes de Bourg comes from one of France’s oldest wine regions, the historic Côtes de Bourg appellation, where vineyards have flourished since the 2nd century thanks to the moderating influence of the nearby Gironde River. Positioned near the meeting point of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, the estate benefits from a stable climate ideal for producing balanced, expressive Bordeaux wines.

Managed by the Schweitzer family since 1962, Château Poyanne underwent extensive vineyard renewal with high-quality plantings of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A strong focus on environmentally conscious viticulture and extended ageing in both vats and oak has helped shape a wine of greater depth and complexity than typically found at this level.

The wine is full-bodied yet elegant, opening with a generous fruity bouquet where richness is balanced by finesse and charm. The palate is ample and supple, showing ripe dark fruit, soft concentration and the savoury character typical of the Bourgeais terroir. Smoothly structured with a refined finish, it is a classic Right Bank Bordeaux that offers both immediate appeal and graceful development with age.
