Chateau La Nerthe Les Cassagnes Cotes du Rhone Villages Rouge

Sourced from vineyards with a mix of sand, clay and calcareous stones, the soils provide natural filtration and contribute to wines of balance and generosity. The grapes are carefully sorted in the vineyard, with gentle extraction through daily pump-overs. The three main varieties are co-fermented and undergo an extended maceration of three to four weeks, before the final blend is matured on fine lees in tank for 9–12 months.

Bright garnet in colour, the wine opens with aromas of red berries and blackcurrant bud, layered with subtle liquorice notes. The palate shows crunchy fruit — reminiscent of Burlat cherry — alongside classic garrigue notes of thyme, olive and bay leaf. Fresh yet rounded, with fine, delicate tannins and a refreshing minty lift on the finish.

Blend: 60% Grenache Noir, 32% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, 1% other varieties.
