About This Wine:

Chateau La Nerthe Chateauneuf‑du‑Pape Blanc is a refined southern Rhône white crafted from 49% Grenache Blanc, 33% Roussanne, 12% Clairette and 6% Bourboulenc. Grapes are hand-picked at full ripeness to preserve balance and aromatic expression, then gently pressed before cool fermentation. Roussanne and Grenache Blanc are primarily fermented in oak barrels and demi-muids, while Clairette and Bourboulenc see a mix of tank and barrel. The wine is matured on fine lees for around nine months, with final blending just prior to bottling to achieve harmony and complexity.

Bright and limpid with pale green highlights, the nose opens with expressive orchard fruit aromas of pear and yellow peach, followed by lifted citrus notes of fresh lemon. The palate is creamy and layered, revealing exotic hints of pineapple alongside subtle vanilla from well-judged oak. The finish is elegant yet generously textured, balancing refreshing citrus bitterness with gentle roundness and a delicate touch of anise. Discreet oak integration enhances structure while allowing freshness and varietal character to shine.

This versatile Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc pairs beautifully with hake fillet with dill and fennel sauce, celery baked in salt crust with curry cream, or veal blanquette with morels.
