Brouilly AOC 100% Gamay from Château des Tours, this is a classic expression of structured, elegant Beaujolais. It captures both the finesse and purity of Gamay from one of the most distinctive crus, delivering a wine defined by freshness, balance and refined fruit character.
Terroir / Vineyard
The vineyard forms a natural amphitheatre around the Château, planted on sandy, granitic soils formed by the decomposition of bedrock. These soils are poor, acidic and shallow, with rocky outcrops that emphasise the vineyard’s close connection to its granite foundation. This challenging terroir contributes to the wine’s tension, vibrancy and fine mineral edge.
Winemaking
Depending on each parcel, grapes are partially de-stemmed before undergoing extended vatting of more than 15 days. Extraction is carefully managed through both pump-overs (remontage) and punch-downs (pigeage) to build colour, structure and complexity. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures, followed by maturation in vats for several months to preserve purity and fruit expression.
Tasting Notes
An elegant, finely balanced Brouilly showing lifted aromas of red and black fruits, layered with subtle floral notes. The palate is vibrant and precise, combining lively freshness with silky tannins and a seamless texture. A long, graceful finish allows ripe fruit characters to unfold slowly, highlighting both finesse and depth.
Food Pairing
A highly versatile style, it pairs beautifully with grilled beef fillet, herb-crusted lamb, or aged Camembert. Vegetarian options such as Provençal ratatouille with grilled polenta or a porcini mushroom and parmesan risotto also complement its freshness and savoury depth.
