Bindi Dixon Pinot Noir

Bindi Dixon Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced and ageworthy Pinot Noir drawn from Bindi’s original 1988 plantings alongside fruit from the 2001 Kaye Vineyard. Crafted with destemmed fruit, indigenous yeast and open fermentation, it was matured in small French oak barrels, with around 20% new oak, and bottled after ten months to preserve its vibrant fruit and freshness.

The wine offers a seductive interplay of red and dark cherry, plum and fragrant red berries, with earthy, ginger and rose notes adding complexity. With air, the aromatics become increasingly lifted and expressive, revealing a lovely purity of fruit.

Smooth and harmonious already, the palate has bright energy and fine, chalky tannins that gently grip the fruit through a long, beautifully balanced finish. A refined Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir with plenty of life ahead and the structure to develop greater complexity over the coming years.
