About This Wine:

Bindi Block 8 Pinot Noir is a powerful yet beautifully balanced single-vineyard Pinot Noir from one of Australia's most revered estates in the Macedon Ranges.

Sourced from a three-quarter hectare north-west facing vineyard with quartz-rich soils and pockets of fertile volcanic earth, Block 8 combines remarkable site expression with meticulous viticulture. High-density plantings, including a unique section of over 22,000 vines per hectare featuring seven Pinot Noir clones, produce fruit of exceptional concentration and complexity.

The wine is matured for 15 to 17 months in French oak, around 50% of which is new, adding subtle structure while allowing the vineyard's character to shine.

The bouquet is layered and captivating, revealing dark cherry, wild raspberry and plum alongside earthy spice, forest floor and mineral nuances. The palate is deep, concentrated and beautifully composed, with exceptional fruit intensity, finely woven tannins and a vibrant line of acidity carrying the wine through an impressively long finish.

While immediately engaging for its purity and balance, Block 8 has the structure and depth to evolve gracefully for many years. Produced in tiny quantities of just 125–200 dozen per vintage, it is a compelling and age-worthy Pinot Noir that exemplifies the elegance, complexity and longevity of Bindi's finest single-vineyard wines.
