Balassa Tokaj Dry Furmint

Crafted from a blend of parcels across the revered Mád region, this Furmint displays the hallmark aromas of the variety—quince, ripe pear, citrus blossom and a subtle mineral thread, with hints of almond and hazelnut. Fermented partly in barrel (one-third) and partly in tank (two-thirds), then aged for five months, the wine shows a gentle touch of oak and a long, layered palate.

Fresh citrus, green apple and orchard fruit unfold alongside a fine mineral edge, offering both vibrancy and depth. Elegant and focused, this is a beautifully balanced Furmint with texture, lift and complexity.

The boutique Balassa winery was founded in 2005 by István Balassa in Hungary’s historic Tokaj region.
