2016 Carlei Green Vineyards Heathcote Shiraz

Carlei Green Vineyards Heathcote Shiraz is a rich and expressive Shiraz that captures the power, spice and distinctive character of Heathcote. Deeply coloured and intensely aromatic, it offers layers of ripe blackberry and black cherry alongside liquorice, smoky dried meats, vanillin cedar and cracked black pepper.

The palate is medium to full-bodied, with impressive fruit purity and a generous, mouth-filling texture. Dark berry and liquorice flavours are woven through with peppery spice and savoury smoky notes, while velvet-smooth tannins provide structure without sacrificing softness.

Rich, polished and distinctly peppery, the wine carries remarkable depth through to a long, lingering finish of black pepper, liquorice, spice and smoky oak. A beautifully generous Heathcote Shiraz with plenty of character.
