2015 Heartland Single Vineyard Shiraz

Grapes sourced exclusively from a single Shiraz vineyard undergo meticulous selection and pruning techniques. The fruit is carefully crushed in small, open-top stainless-steel fermenters, allowing for 24 hours of skin contact before fermentation commences with our specially chosen Rhône isolate yeast. Over the course of 10 days, the wine undergoes a cool fermentation process on the skins, with regular pump-overs three times a day. Following this, the wine is transferred to new French oak hogsheads for a maturation period of 14 months, after which a careful barrel selection determines the finest for inclusion in the final blend.

In appearance, the wine boasts an opaque mulberry core that fades gracefully to a delicate crimson rim. On the nose, notes of blackberry intertwine with an array of dark spice aromas. The palate offers a burst of vibrant purple fruit, complemented by refreshing hints of rich aniseed and chocolate. The finish is remarkably long and invigorating.
