About This Wine:

Planted in 1982 by Stephen and Prue Henschke on the steep, cool-climate slopes of Lenswood, the Green’s Hill Riesling reflects the purity and precision of its unique site. Situated at 550 metres above sea level on loamy soils scattered with shale, this west-facing vineyard benefits from ideal conditions—cool temperatures, timely rainfall, and ample sunshine—for producing vibrant, age-worthy Riesling.

Fermented in stainless steel and bottled soon after vintage to capture its delicate aromatics, this museum release has been carefully aged in the Henschke cellar. Pale straw with lime hues, it reveals beautifully developed aromas of citrus blossom, lime zest, sherbet and bath talc, with a subtle touch of honey.

The palate is focused and precise, with juicy lime, Bickford’s cordial, lime leaf and grapefruit, layered over chalky minerality and finely poised acidity. The finish is long, crisp and tightly structured—a stunning example of cool-climate Australian Riesling with both vitality and grace.
