2004 Chateau La Fleur de Bouard Le Plus de La Fleur de Bouard Lalande-de-Pomerol

Le Plus de La Fleur de Boüard 2004 is the flagship wine of Château La Fleur de Boüard, crafted exclusively from the estate's oldest Merlot vines and representing one of the finest expressions of Lalande-de-Pomerol.

Produced from 100% Merlot grown on coarse gravel over clay, the fruit comes from exceptionally old, naturally low-yielding vines, producing just 15–20 hectolitres per hectare. This remarkable concentration is complemented by meticulous winemaking, with the wine matured for an extraordinary 33 months in 100% new French oak barrels, including 18 months on fine lees. Bottled without fining or filtration, every effort is made to preserve the wine's purity, texture and complexity.

The bouquet is deep and captivating, revealing layers of black cherry, ripe plum and blackberry, interwoven with notes of cedar, dark chocolate, espresso, sweet spice and truffle. Time in bottle has added beautifully evolved nuances of tobacco leaf, leather and forest floor, enhancing the wine's remarkable aromatic complexity.

The palate is rich and full-bodied yet impeccably balanced, combining concentrated dark fruit with silky, seamless tannins and vibrant freshness.
