Mt Lofty Ranges Old Gum Block Shiraz

An excellent representation of cool-climate Shiraz, 30% new French oak influence provides a gentle tannic backbone to a deep, dark elegant wine of structure. The wine is made from grapes harvested from a warmer part of the Adelaide Hills, and strikes a lovely balance between dark fruits, oak and spice. From the less elevated site, not too far from our Lenswood vineyard, the wine in the cooler years is young and fresh, while in warmer years the true Shiraz characteristics are exhibited by full-bodied wines that will reward time in the cellar.
