Heathcote Winery Slaughterhouse Paddock Shiraz

Planted on the old cattle holding yard, Slaughterhouse Paddock is the oldest operating vineyard in the region and also one of the lowest. Picked from the old gnarly vines at the top of the block, we use the best fruit to create a fine wine that shows the concentration we have come to expect. The wine exhibits a distinctive eucalypt character from the trees surrounding the vineyard and new American oak balances the strong white pepper with sweet vanilla. A full bodied and truly unique shiraz – not for the faint hearted!
