About The Wine2014 ABV 14.5% Australia Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra Petit Verdot South Australia
Vintage 2014, after a warm Christmas, changed to lower temperatures with very cool nights. Picked in late April, Cabernet Sauvignon from our Dead Morris vineyard (94.5%) was blended with Dunstan Petit Verdot (5.5%), all fruit was handpicked and received a long maceration on skins. Matureation was for 18 months in 60% new fine grained chateau barriques.
Deep rich red in colour, the nose is very perfumed with aromas of wild blackberry, lavender and red fruits combined with fine vanilla French oak. The palate is structured and elegant with ripe cassis fruit and a fine tannin finish.
