Sentio Single Vineyard Beechworth Chardonnay (White Label)

Tightly coiled and intricate. Notes of stone and minerals. Licorice in white. Perfectly balanced. Fruit from a single vineyard planted in the early 1990s with traditional Ordovician soils - mudstone, shale, and granite. The vineyard's flavour and texture show through in this wine.
Large-format wood (foudre), clay egg (for fineness on the back palate), and barrique were used to age this wine. There is no new oak. The fruit has a strong structure and integrity. Every component of the palate is savoury, salty, tighter, and finer. This wine will improve with age.
