The poached plum, cassis, and gently spicy scents of a very ripe nose have good freshness while having a faintly roasted flavour to them. On the astonishingly lengthy and austere finish, which is notably compact and tightly wrapped today, the succulent yet robust and exquisite flavours have a similar amount of vigour. Although it borders on being rigid, this is very Taillepieds in that it has all the makings of a masterpiece someday.
