Brilliant clear purple red colour and very pretty on the nose. Aromas of violets, rose petal, cassis and a little mulberry with leafy tobacco nuances. Elegant, medium bodied with ripe fruit. Lean without being green. The intensity and richness get you first. Twiggy, gravelly minerality, blackcurrant, a subtle dusting of pepper and cherry fruit backed by some anise, mint and gentle acidity before tapering off with some savoury, grippy tannin. So young yet so yum. And this will benefit some more age. Drink over the next 2 - 8 years. Maybe more. Needs some decent decanting for a couple of hours if drinking now. more more
