Nashwauk is owned and managed by Kaesler Wines, Barossa Valley. Stephen Dew and Reid Bosward are the winemakers. It is a stand-alone business of the Kaesler family, and the first time it has extended beyond the Barossa Valley.
From 20-40-year-old vines, Deep purple-crimson, it is plush and velvety to the point of outright thickness, peppery spice and lush aromas of black plums, blueberries and cherries. Aged in a combination of 20% new French and older oak barrels bring delicious hints of mocha and chocolate. Great balance and fine tannins here in this 5 year old shiraz which is on song! On the second day open the wine revealed further layers and richness which is testament to the pedigree old vine fruit. up!
