Description
Holm Oak takes its name from its grove of oak trees, planted around the beginning of the 20th century and originally intended for the making of tennis racquets. A boutique family affair, winemaker Rebecca Duffy has extensive winemaking experience in Australia and California; and husband Tim, a viticultural agronomist, manages the vineyard.
Hand-picked, wild yeast-open fermented with 30% whole bunches, frequent plunging, pressed to barrel (60% new). The vinification started with pruning, continuing with first-stage barrel selection reduced to 30 barrels, and finally 24.
